   | | AMPS by Auto/Mate
...offering a cost efficient and highly effective management tool for new car dealerships across the United States.
The Auto/Mate Difference - The hardware INCLUDED in our dealership management solution provides dependable and scaleable delivery of AMPS.
AMPS leverages the power of a single computer with Pentium technology as a Linux file server. This configuration provides the processing power required to support an unlimited number of workstations such as personal computers, thin clients and terminals using the system simultaneously.
An unlimited number of users from various business units within the dealership(accounting, parts, F&I, etc.) can be processing information and generating reports instantly.
Several Auto/Mate dealerships are actively supporting hundreds of PC's and printers supported by this one UNIX file server solution.
HARDWARE OPTION
1- You can elect to have Auto/Mate provide this hardware to you. 2- You can choose to have the computer retailer of your choice provide the hardware to you.
Auto/Mate made a conscious decision to build AMP to run on standard personal computers because they are sold by the tens of millions each year, meaning that their performance will continually improve and the costs will continue to come down.
This decision to build our dealership management solution to run on hardware easily purchased in the marketplace and willingness to let you decide whether to buy it from us or from another retailer, result in fair prices to you, our client.
How does Auto/Mate compare to competitive products in this aspect? The use of a Pentium PC instead of the minicomputers sold by other national firms results in significant savings for you...sometimes as much as 67%!.
SERVER / ASP OPTIONS
With AMPS you get the best of both worlds.
You can have AMPS deployed on a server in your dealership, or you can opt for deploying AMPS as an ASP, no server in house. You connect to AMP (Located at our secure host facility) through the internet using the PC's in your dealership. So, it's your choice; server in house, or ASP. |
