FAQ’s - Frequently Asked Questions about Auto/Mate Dealership Systems Q. Do you sell data archiving?Q. How long has Auto/Mate been around? A. Auto/Mate has been installed in new car dealerships since the mid 1970’s. It was originally developed by Wang Computers (remember the Wang F&I system? That was Auto/Mate). We currently have dealers who have been on the system for over 30 years. Q. What are your support hours? A. Currently our supports hours are 7:30 AM EST through 8PM EST Monday through Friday. Q. Can we buy our own equipment? A. Of course. We also look for ways that our dealers can save money and this is a great one. Since Auto/Mate is a standard open system you can use standard printers, PCs, etc on it. Q. Do you have “click charges” on laser printers? A. No, there are no charges for laser printing. You can buy your own laser printers, put blank paper in them and away you go. Q. Can we program our own F&I forms? A. Yes. We will train you how to do this when we come to your dealership for installation. A. The Auto/Mate system comes with data archiving. We store F&I deals forever, service history and service invoices (customer and office copy) forever, all accounting data ( G/L’s, schedules, financial statements, trail balances, journals, etc) forever. Q. How is the training done? A. We will come to your dealership and train you on site during the initial install. After the install you can use our training program on our system, you can use our web based one on one training, you could use our one on one training at our facility. Q. How much does training cost? A. Training is free for life with our system. Q. What about the data on our current system? A. Auto/Mate has extensive experience in converting your data from you existing system to our system. We do all of the conversion programming at our facility. There is no 3rd party that you have to deal with. We do the most comprehensive data conversion in the industry. We will convert your G/L’s, schedules, vendors, payroll, vehicles, F&I deals, Service history, service vehicles, op codes, parts history, parts counter pad. Q. Do you integrate with our electronic parts catalog? A. Yes we integrate with every major EPC in the industry and for no charge. Q. Do you have integrated warranty labor time guides? A. Yes we have warranty labor time guides for Ford , Chrysler and GM. Q. Can we export data to Excel? A. Yes, this is just a one click process to take anything form our database into Excel or any other MicroSoft application. Q. Do we have to sign a long-term contract? A. We do not have long-term contracts. Our dealers are able to cancel at the beginning of any month, but typically don't because they are so satisfied with our solution. Q. Do we have to pay for upgrades? A. No with Auto/Mate you buy us once and you are current forever. Those dealers who have been on Auto/Mate over 25 years have never had to pay for a software upgrade.
